The Philadelphia 76ers got knocked around pretty well by the Miami Heat in Game 2 last night as the series is now even at one a piece.

Embiid has been sidelined since March 28 because of a broken orbital bone and concussion.

He said earlier on Monday that Embiid still hasn't been cleared to take contact during workouts and that would be the next step in his recovery.

Will Joel Embiid be back on the court?

"It's still moving forward", Brown said before the Sixers' practice on Tuesday afternoon. But I do know the spirit in which he delivers that Tweet. reflects my conversations with him. So the medical side, the different reasons, I'm not going to go there. We're all doing this. The teams will head to Miami for Games 3 and 4.

Embiid was expected to practice with the team on Tuesday, participating in shooting drills and other non-contact activity. "It's progressing. When that ultimately leads to an answer - he's playing - I don't believe is that far away". "I wish more than anything that I was out there".

Brown reiterated that he had no issue with Embiid expressing frustration on social media in the wake of Monday's loss.

For one, it will be hard for Wade to play that well again. He wants to be with his team.

This snapped Philly's 17-game winning streak and was the first time they struggled without their All-Star.

With the way Miami have hounded the ball defensively and made Philadelphia work, Embiid would be a release valve in the post, as well as someone who can create shots for others.
