Crystals will be reintroduced with the update, but can only be used to purchase cosmetic items like these new Appearances. The reimplementation of the system doesn't come as a surprise, as EA previously said Crystals would return in the first half of 2018. Ewok Hunt is a limited-time, asymmetric mode that pits a team of Ewoks against a team of Stormtroopers. The new update will feature a limited-time mode, and special appearance items that can be unlocked during the event with Crystals or Credits.

Ewok Hunt mode will start on April 18.

EA didn't exactly generate a lot of good faith with the progression system in Star Wars: Battlefront II, particularly since it seems to be heavily weighed in favour of people who purchased loot boxes with real money. Star Wars Battlefront II would provide free DLC as to not separate its playerbase. The upcoming Night on Endor update will include Crystals, with developer DICE introducing some big changes to microtransactions so that they can only adjust your in-game appearance, because that makes it so much better.

Check out some screenshots of Star Wars Battlefront 2'sEwok Hunt mode and the Ewok village in the gallery below. Over 50 additional Appearances to personalize your units and heroes will be made available in this update. The first is in the same style as the Night on Endor Update that we're releasing on April 18th, and the second is Seasons. "We will now spend more time listening, adjusting, balancing and tuning".

Now, Battlefront II players can head back to the forest moon of Endor and battle the Empire all over again with a loveable band of armed Ewoks by their side. "We'll continue to improve the game, we'll continue to push on these things, and we'll have to be very cautious with what this means for future products". Season Two is on the way and we can confirm that you'll hear more about this in early May. More info about its specific contents will become available closer to launch.
