Ms Martin said the CGF court found the athletes' denials of any knowledge of the syringes were both "unreliable and evasive".

According to the 2018 Games' organizing committee chairman Peter Beattie, they had worked hard with the Australian authorities on the entry system and had encouraged the 6,000 visiting athletes and officials not to breach the terms of their visas.

Hours after Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton warned athletes who breached their visa conditions they'd be tracked down, locked up and deported, Sierra Leone's Ernest Jombla and Yusif Mansaray did not appear for their men's doubles match on Thursday morning.

Commonwealth Games officials have revealed they are concerned about eight Cameroon athletes who have gone missing, NEWS.com.au reports.

"We have a service to people who have legitimate visas to be in this country", Commonwealth Games Federation chief executive David Grevemberg told reporters.

It takes the total number of missing athletes up to 11 after the Cameroonian team lost a third of its members in the first week on the Gold Coast.

"They did a wonderful job in organising the team to come to Australia and have Warwick for their training and now the athletes have let them down", she said.

"We have to appreciate that Australia is the best country in the world, there's no country in the world like Australia and it's very appealing", she said.

"But I'm doing this for the youth to show them that anything is possible if you believe".

Earlier organizers said eight Cameroonians had also vanished from the Games village.

After the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne 12 years ago, 45 athletes overstayed their visas, 35 sought political asylum.

'Right now we are anxious about the safety and welfare of the athletes and we are taking this very seriously and monitoring the situation with team Cameroon'.

"We have solicited the Commonwealth Games Association from India to leave Australia on the principal flights accessible".

The issue was not characterized as an against doping guideline infringement, but rather the whole India designation was cautioned by the CGF there would be repercussions on the off chance that they ruptured the standards once more. "We're organizing a sporting event, if there are breaches of visas, they will deal with it".

The nation's two other weightlifters and men's basketball team had left Australia and were en route to Cameroon, team officials said.
