The 17-year-old, who can not be named for legal reasons, also had an Instagram account where she posted selfies and pictures of singer Justin Bieber. She informed authorities that she and her siblings were being held against their will, starved, tortured, and even prevented from bathing. The parents were also banned from contacting any of their children, who are aged between two and 29 years.

Since the arrest, the public has only gotten a few sparse glimpses of life inside the "House of Horrors" through crime scene photos, but the 17-year-old's YouTube videos are offering a new perspective.

"Good Morning America" reported the girl also appeared to have had an Instagram account. In one video, she sings the words, "You blame me for everything, you blame me in every way, you blame me for what they say, what they say". It's unclear whether the full catalogue of videos still exists online.

One of the children allegedly held captive by her parents in a California home posted video and photos on secret social media accounts, according to ABC News.

In another video, the girl appears to play with her dog, Sandy, while a stack of dirty clothes and a dirty carpet can be seen.

Their parents, David and Louise Turpin, have pleaded not guilty to torture and other charges.

Officers had initially thought the 17-year-old girl was about 10-years-old.

In a case that sent shockwaves across the world, investigators are still searching for a motive behind the alleged abuse of 12 of the children.

David Turpin, 57, was also charged with one count of a lewd act on a child under the age of 14. "He would sob like his shoulders would shake up and down ... when mentioned about his parents and his brother and not seeing them", she said. Their next court appearance is scheduled for March 23.

At the time police said that, when they found the group of 12, they were "shocked" to find seven of them were actually adults.

Prosecutors will allege the Turpins used ropes to tie up their children for many years, including hog-tying one child, before beginning to use chains and padlocks after one child escaped.
