It's the culmination of a surprising turnaround following the one-season run of Constantine on NBC, from October 2014 to February 2015.

Matt Ryan's depiction of John Constantine has experienced so many surprising twists in the afterlife it almost resembles a Hellblazer story arc.

This is the latest chapter in the comeback of Ryan's John Constantine following the swift cancellation of the NBC series Constantine. This lead to a guest appearance on CW's Arrow, which was his introduction into the Arrowverse.

Following last night's episode, The CW has released the first promo for next week's episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow which sees Jes Macallan's Ava turned into a sinister weapon. According to a new Report, Matt Ryan will be a series regular in Legends of Tomorrow season 4. But network president Mark Pedowitz had previously stated that he was "optimistic" that they would all return for another season.

Are you a fan of the Hellblazer?

"We knew that an alienated, chain-smoking, bisexual, world-weary demonologist would feel right at home among our Legends", said showrunner Phil Klemmer to THR in October. Yet, from there we ended up seeing him appear on Legends of Tomorrow this season - given that this season is featuring demons at the root of it, it absolutely does make some sense that he would be featured in some sort of way.
