Manchester United yet to initiate contract talks with David De Gea

David De Gea is reportedly growing exhausted of Manchester United's "slow" approach over offering him an improved contract as Real Madrid continue to be linked with him.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid ever since the stories of his exploits started to gain popularity in Europe.

David de Gea has a save percentage of 81.9% - the highest of any goalkeeper in the Premier League.

The former Atletico Madrid prospect signed a new contract under Louis van Gaal, following his botched switch to Real Madrid in 2015 that was infamously blamed on a faulty fax machine.

They sensationally claim the Special One wants Toni Kroos, Isco, Marco Asensio or Raphael Varane in a player-plus-cash deal involving De Gea.

This development seems to be the Mancunian giants' biggest attempt yet to fend off interest from Los Blancos. He has 18 months left on his deal, forcing the Red Devils to come to a decision: either extend their man, sell him, let him walk for free or tack on another year on his deal.

The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez are all understood to be on more money than De Gea at Old Trafford, despite the fact that he has clearly outshone all of the above this season.

That decision could be bad news for Chelsea though, with Perez now expected to turn to his next target - believed to be Blues keeper Thibaut Courtois. "The option, it's obvious that we're not going to let the option disappear", said Mourinho recently. I just say what is obvious.
