Besides Macron, heads of state and government from 23 countries including France, Australia and Sri Lanka are attending the founding conference of ISA being co-hosted by India and France. In India, the sun is considered the nourisher. Countries that do not fall within the Tropics can join the ISA and enjoy all benefits as other members, with the exception of voting rights. The primary objective of the alliance is to work for efficient exploitation of solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the International Solar Alliance (ISA) have signed a cooperation agreement to promote solar energy deployment in Asia and the Pacific region.

As many as 60 nations have signed the agreement to join ISA, while 30 have already ratified the agreement and made it possible to make it a legal entity in December previous year.

The head of France, Emmanuel Macron, delivered a slam on Sunday aimed at the President for the United state of america, Donald Trump, for dropping out of the climate accord in Paris. Turning to Modi, Macron said, "Mr".

On Sunday, both India and France took additional steps to further their ambitions of mitigating the effects of global warming at the Founding Conference of the International Solar Alliance, reported The Hindu. "It was two years ago, it was just an idea at that time and we decided all together to act very quickly and today a big change". They began to act and achieve concrete results. They didn't wait and they didn't stop because some countries made a decision to just leave the floor and leave the Paris Agreement. "Because they decided it was good for them, their children and grandchildren and they chose to act and keep acting", he added. Prime Minister Modi met Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, HH Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Bin Al Nahyan, to specifically discuss trade and investment, energy and food security among various other issues of bilateral interest. "It is my fervent hope that the ISA will serve as a laudable vehicle towards this goal".

"This means more people connected to the grid, at a better price. May you bless us...", she said, with folded hands.

France has committed to invest Euro 700 million (USD 862m) into the International Solar Alliance (ISA) so as to back photovoltaic (PV) projects in developing countries. "We have to increase the share of solar in energy mix", he said.

Modi said there should be a full ecosystem for availability and development of technology, economic resources, development of storage technology, mass manufacturing and innovation.

In an attempt to attract private sector investment in the sector, Macron said a joint guarantee mechanism is being put in place. "They are participated. So, there is great deal of enthusiasm to this initiative (ISA)".

Earlier this year during the Future World Energy Summit 2018 in Abu Dhabi, the YES Bank committed financing solar projects of up to $5 billion by 2030.
