Over the next year, Apple plans to offer more than 6,000 sessions across Europe as part of its Today at Apple programme, unveiled at its September event.

Apple has begun sending invitations to members of the media to attend its upcoming March 27 event. While we haven't seen an event in this same vein recently, something of this sort of structure is par for the course for Apple. The event is being hosted at Lane Tech College Prep high school in Chicago, so it's a safe bet it'll be education focused. While this Apple education event is probably not a direct response to their PR issues, Apple taking steps to listen to their community and take into account what they want and need is a good first step towards righting wrongs. Apple's last education event took place all the way back in 2012 in New York City. Last year, for instance, it released Product RED versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, along with new Apple Watch bands and a $329 iPad.

The event is education-themed and has the tagline "let's take a field trip" before inviting us to "hear creative new ideas for teachers and students" We're thinking new iPad Pros, possibly new MacBooks (including a MacBook Air replacement?) and a new, upgraded Apple Pencil. Could Apple be launching a new version of its Apple Pencil stylus?
