Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios has official opening date

Guests to Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios will officially be able to visit's Andy's backyard playsets starting June 30. The new attraction, located on 11 acres at at Disney's Hollywood Studios, will welcome guests on June 30. There's also Woody's Lunch Box, a walk-up window with old fashioned soda floats and more.

The rides will all be set within Andy's Back Garden, and will be largely family-friendly. The new attraction will also open at Disneyland Resort in Southern California beginning April 13, 2018. They will "shrink" to the size of a toy and encounter Woody, Buzz, Jessie and other Toy Story characters. The all-new Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World Resort is inspired by Disney•Pixar's Toy Story films.

A roller coaster called Slinky Dog Dash will be gentle enough for young children. Adorable little Toy Story green Aliens swirl about in their flying saucers with guests in tow in their rocket-ship toys, while "The Claw" hangs overhead.

Disney World's other recent attractions include two new Pandora: The World of Avatar-themed rides and a restaurant at Animal Kingdom and a Frozen-themed log flume at Epcot. Toy Story Land is opening this summer! This is in combination with the already popular carnival ride Toy Story Mania! that premiered in 2008.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will soon debut at Disney Parks and allow guests to immerse themselves in the world of the films. Meanwhile, Islands of Adventure still has their Marvel themed rides and attractions stuck in the '90s.

Toy Story Land is part of a multi-year reimagining of Disney's Hollywood Studios and the largest expansion in the theme park's history. Disney brought some of the attractions to Times Square in New York City.
