Rob Gronkowski clears concussion protocol, will play in Super Bowl

Multiple Philadelphia Eagles players are dealing with illness this week as the team prepares for Sunday's Super Bowl matchup with the New England Patriots. "But let's start there because when you play the Patriots, getting to Tom Brady is where everything starts". It's a split second to make a decision. "If the Patriots win, I will make a $100 donation to Catholic Charities of Boston", he said.

Sure, I'd love to see Pederson carried off the field the way Don Shula was carried off the field, with Pederson's help, those 25 years ago.

"Obviously you want to be a reason the team wins". Wake is coming off double-digit sack totals in back-to-back seasons for the first time in his career, lending fuel to the notion that, as Adam Gase puts it, "he is a freak of nature".

Brady got the ball up into the air and it seemed to hang there forever. "I don't think it had anything to do with us being out here". Not that Gronkowski didn't enjoy watching his teammates win a fifth Super Bowl in seven tries in the Brady-Bill Belichick era. When Long was with the Rams, he played against the Patriots twice, but one of the games came in 2008 when Brady was out for the season with an ACL tear.

New England doesn't always do that in the Super Bowl.

"Arguably, he's the best quarterback to ever play the game", Eagles defensive end Vinny Curry said. And with one game left to play, the Eagles can find ways to exploit the Patriots defense in a variety of ways.

"I'm so critical of my fundamentals, I really what them to be flawless", Brady said.

"[It's] clear outside of Brady and Rob Gronkowski... the Eagles have a superior roster", Brinson said.

Even the 40-year-old quarterback joked about it last week during his weekly Monday appearance on Boston's WEEI sports radio network. In both roles, he can be important in not letting Patriots get behind him - via the passing game or by wrapping up a tackle on a runner who's made it into the secondary. Chung is also known as a shutdown defender on opposing tight ends - and Zach Ertz is Philadelphia's leading receiver. "But, I mean, I can tell them to turn on the TV and watch Tom Brady - and they can see the greatest player of all-time playing this Sunday". "We've got a destination that we're geared to".

"You can never get too high or too low".

"Being onstage in New York City and being drafted by the Patriots, it was one of the best moments of my life", Gronkowski said.

Tom, Peyton, Dan, Rich Gannon and Kurt Warner are the only National Football League passing leaders who made the big game, and they all lost. But it's relentless depth from a rotating front four that makes the Eagles a real test for Brady and the Pats, one that brings back bad memories of those Giants fronts.

Super Bowl LII is nearly here.
