What makes it so incredibly special is that Lucas is the first baby in the history of the contest who has Down Syndrome.

Baby food company Gerber announced Wednesday the results of its latest photo search.

The internet was rife with cooing adoration upon seeing and hearing of Lucas Warren's most recent accomplishment.

He's 18-month-old Lucas Warren and he is Gerber's "Spokesbaby of the Year". That's huge! I mean, he's cute as all get out, so obviously he's the flawless choice.

Baby Lucas from Dalton, Georgia "won the judges over with his glowing and giggly smile and was chosen among more than 140,000 entries", according to a press release from the company.

For 91 years the company, a giant player in the market, featured a charcoal sketch of an infant that became known as the Gerber Baby and was seen as an ideal. His mom Cortney entered him in the contest on a whim.

As the new Gerber grand prize victor, Lucas will be named the 2018 Gerber Spokesbaby and his family will receive $50,000, which his parents are going to put toward his education.

Lucas' dad says he hopes it will help shed light on the special needs community, and reminds everyone that people like his son have the potential to change the world, just like everybody else.

"He may have Down syndrome, but he's always Lucas first". Congratulations, Lucas! Looking forward to seeing your sweet smiling face all year!
