This season, however, could be the a year ago for Red Bull to use a Renault engine, as the French manufacturer will reportedly pull out of the partnership by the end of this season.

You'll know it as Red Bull's 2018 Formula 1 contender.

Unlike recent seasons, the team chose to shakedown their machine a week before pre-season testing begins in Spain, with Ricciardo putting the first kilometres on the vehicle at the Silverstone circuit in England.

Red Bull have released the first pictures of their 2018 race auto as they look to drive to their way to the title this season.

Red Bull Racing whipped the silk from the auto, dubbed RB14, to reveal a temporary, special edition "digi camo" livery - nicknamed Disruption by the Red Bull squad - that the team will run for testing in Spain next week.

Renault and Sauber are launching on Tuesday, world champion Mercedes and rivals Ferrari on Thursday and McLaren on Friday.

But while fans took to social media to express their delight at the striking blue camouflage aesthetics of the vehicle, Red Bull confirmed the season's race paint is yet to be revealed. Even the vents cut into the floor either side of the gearbox look deeper than last year's offering, raising the prospect of Red Bull's aerodynamics setup once again being the class of the field as they refine their already strong package.

However, it was quickly announced that this was a 'special edition livery' and the official livery would be kept under wraps until the first day of testing in a week's time.

This is also the case with the rear wing, where the angle at which the endplates cut in towards the centre of the vehicle is again more extreme than it was previously. Danny Ric is the man putting the Renault-engined chassis through its paces.

Haas F1 Team unveiled its 2018 auto for the Formula 1 season, the VF-18, today on the team's social media platforms, website and via press release to the media.
