Three-year-old Mariah Kay Woods vanished from her Jacksonville, NC home in the early morning hours of Monday, Nov. 27 and authorities have been actively searching for the little girl.

Once they realized Mariah was missing, Woods and her live-in boyfriend called authorities.

Mariah Woods is a white girl with brown hair and blue eyes, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's AMBER Alert Program.

The FBI released images Wednesday that may possibly show a missing North Carolina 3-year-old at a Walmart in Morehead City.

WCTI also reported that officials have expanded crime scene tape near Mariah Woods' home and are widening their search.

Anyone with information on Mariah's disappearance are being asked to call the Onslow County Sheriff at 910-455-3113 or 911 locally.

"We needed to do something special", said Pastor Cliff Wilson of Folkston Original Free Will Baptist Church. "She's my baby, she's my everything", said Kristy Woods in a press conference.

Sheriff Miller of the Onslow County Sheriff's Department said at this point, they aren't sure who has the little girl or exactly what happened.

Wednesday, 10 a.m. - The sheriff's office says the photos released are not of Woods.

The search is being conducted both by ground and by air with drones and helicopters.

"She wouldn't have her support, her braces and things of that nature", said Cloyd.

"Our goal is to bring Mariah back", Sheriff Miller said.

If the child in the photo is identified beyond doubt to be Mariah, the woman accompanying her could be a potential suspect, since Mariah reportedly went missing after 11 p.m. EST Sunday, which is when her mother put her to bed, according to ABC affiliate Eyewitness News.

A statewide Amber Alert was issued for the girl on Monday, but so far there have been no clues as to why she disappeared.

Family members said there was no sign of forced entry or anything wrong with Mariah's room but did say the back door was unlocked, reported WNCT. Woods has two other children, young boys, but calls Mariah her "angel" because the pregnancy came after she got her tubes tied, obviously making it an unexpected pregnancy.

WITN reports that a dive team from the Onslow County Sheriff's Office with at least one K9 unit and a boat, are at the Southwest Creek Bridge.

Law enforcement officials also searched the home and the family's vehicle for evidence.

Emergency responders and investigators saw no obvious injuries when they responded to the victim's home on Sunday, the coroner said.
