"We had a very attractive, wonderful, very emotional reunion with her a little while ago", the teen's mother, Scarlet Frisina, told reporters at a news conference Saturday afternoon.

ABC News reported a New York State Police officer saw the sedan and initiated a traffic stop.

"There's just so many questions and emotions", Scarlet Frisina said. Police previously said he could face criminal charges for interfering with child custody.

Rian, who has been fired from from his position as head boys soccer coach at Fort White High School, was arrested. The officer reportedly detained Rodriguez without incident. It's believed she left voluntarily with him, authorities said earlier. "We are so thankful to have her back".

During interviews with news media reporters, the girl's parents had pleaded for her to return home. According to authorities in Florida, the teen left her home on her own and left her cell phone after wiping the device clean. Security camera footage from a Fayetteville pawn shop appears to show Caitlyn.

Local authorities, aided by agencies including the U.S. Marshal Service, began searching for the pair and the 2001 Mercury Sable in which they were believed to have been traveling. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office will hold a press conference on Monday, at 2pm with additional details. Police were investigating the "blossoming of a potential relationship" between Frisina and Rodriguez.

Frisina has played soccer at Fort White High School, according to an online roster published by Next College Student Athlete.
