The meeting is being held at the Rajiv Bhawan, the party's headquarters in Shimla. Well, while this became quite a news, all that leaped the situation is the lady constable slapping her back at the moment.

While the Congress President has condemned Kumari's act in Shimla, the latter apologised for her action and said, "She (police constable) abused me and pushed me, she should have shown restraint".

A Congress MLA, Asha Kumari and a woman constable Rajvanti ended up slapping each other in a crowded spot after a brief argument broke out between them. A local Congress worker present at the scene of the altercation told APN Live that the lady cop apparently didn't recognise Kumari - a senior Congress MLA and former cabinet minister of Himachal Pradesh - and denied her entry, enraging her.

"An FIR has been registered against Kumari under IPC sections 353 and 332 (assault or use of criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty)", SP, Shimla, Soumya said. I am her mother's age, but yes I agree I should not have lost my temper.

Kumari blamed mismanagement for the incident and accused the constable of misbehaving with her.

News organisations have not yet identified the constable who slapped the MLA back. He met party legislators, party candidates and district presidents, to discuss what went wrong in the elections.

Asha Kumari is the Punjab in-charge of the AICC and won the recently held Himachal Assembly elections from her home seat Dalhousie. The BJP has bagged 44 seats in the 68-seat Assembly to form the government in the state.
