Premiere of Louis CK film scrapped amid sexual misconduct allegations

In the late 1990s, a woman-who spoke to the Times on condition of anonymity-alleged that Louis C.K. repeatedly asked to masturbate in front of her while both worked on The Chris Rock Show. Roseanne Barr once claimed he is known to force women he works with to watch him masturbate, though she later acknowledged she had no firsthand knowledge.

The show's executive producers, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, caught wind of the misconduct. "What happened to Rebecca on that set was terrible", Cox wrote in an email to the paper.

Lewis Kay, a publicist for Louis C.K., declined to answer any questions about the story when reached by the Times.

Louis C.K.'s new movie I Love You, Daddy, which premiered to mixed reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival, is about a father (C.K.) who tries to prevent his teenage daughter (Chloe Grace Moretz) from dating a much older producer (John Malkovich). In I Love You Daddy, a character pretends to masturbate at length in public while other characters defend that he's not a sexual predator.

So far, Louis C.K. has refused to address these allegations, which never bodes well for the star in mention.

"He proceeded to take all of his clothes off, and get completely naked, and started masturbating", Min Goodman told the Times.

Last year, on the topic of misconduct rumours, he told Vulture: "I don't care about that". Louis C.K.'s appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" the same night was also canned.

That culture of silence would appear to be changing as a number of other Hollywood figures have been accused of patterns of sexual misconduct since the Weinstein story broke in early October - also in a New York Times story - and opened the floodgates for others to speak out about the industry's dirty little secret. "Shameless" star William H. Macy will be replacing him.

"This guy didn't rape me, but he made a certain difficult decision to go on tour with him really hard", she said in the now-deleted podcast. The comedian's routine often included masturbation jokes, and in 2007, he told a radio show a story about exposing his genitals to an old man in public when he was younger, adding, "I don't know why".

In 2105 she tweeted: "I have 0 idea if louie #ck is a sexual offender or not but there r multiple accusations in Hollywood's working woman circles".

"They're rumors, that's all that is", he said.

She also claims C.K. later emailed her in 2015, and that he apologized.
