Noticing a green line on Apple iPhone X? You're not alone

Two of the new iPhones will be the biggest handsets Apple have ever produced, crossing more than 6-inches and following the edge-to-edge design we saw in the iPhone X.

Separately, some other iPhone X users have reported that the phone's earpiece speaker is giving off a crackling or buzzing sound, according a report by 9to5Mac.

The sequel to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will also be bezel-free, according to the analyst, but with LCD tech rather than the more expensive OLED tech powering the display.

Few Apple iPhone X users are reporting a unusual green colour vertical strap on their Apple iPhone X (permanent). Luckily, my dogs happened to get me up a few hours later for their morning meal, so I logged in and, to my surprise, was able to order an iPhone X before the sun came up.

The iPhone X's popularity is likely tied as much to its new design as the extras inside the case, such as the camera, Animojis and selfie portrait mode. Apple, however, had already acknowledged the unresponsive screen issue and promised a software update to resolve this. Think of these as the iPhone X 2, at least for now.

One user says a little cracking is heard whenever the volume is at max levels.

Apple also has some guidance on using iOS devices in low or high conditions and recommends keeping it at an ambient temperature of between 0C and 35C. Another user found the crackling issue at around 50 per cent volume.

Meanwhile, Apple is still dealing with the screen freezing issue that some users reported last week. We'll know more in the coming days as Apple tries to issue a fix for affected users. All of them are going to sport a high screen-to-body ratio and there is also going to be an LCD model included. In addition to the current 5.8-inch iPhone X, Apple next year will release a 6.1-inch iPhone with an edgeless LCD display along with a gargantuan 6.5-inch iPhone with an edgeless OLED display.
