She was played as a fame-hungry liar in a brilliant Chicago-themed January sketch. The paper he's carrying gets blown out of his hands and swept into the sewer, and as he's peering into the drain, out pops Kate McKinnon, dressed as Kellyanne Conway, a.k.a. Kellywise the Clown. "Kellywise the dancing clown". "I'll give you a quote", she promises in her frightening clown voice.

As Cooper and Kellywise engage in a back-and-forth, she cajoles him to continue talking to her: "Wait, don't go!"

"Kellywise the Dancing Clown" then attempts to lure Cooper into the sewer - or convince him to put her on TV - with the promise of "crazy, insane quote" like "Okay, Puerto Rico was actually was worse before Hurricane Maria and the hurricane actually did blow some buildings back together". Then she does this creepy ghost-like flicker before offering up this example: "OK, so, Puerto Rico actually was worse before Hurricane Maria".

Pennywise follows that up with another soundbite: "OK, so, Secretary Tillerson did not call the president a moron". "They were sharing a Sunday and the president asked if he wanted more sprinkles and the secretary said more on".

McKinnon's Goldry later talked about "a secret code" actresses used "to warn each other about creeps".

Another cast member Cecily Strong joined the duo with her reprisal as NBC host Rachel Maddow. "You'll float too, Anderson", Maddow tells him.

Ultimately, all Kellywise wants is to get some more TV time, and she threatens Not-Cooper with headlines of his greatest fears - "Trump Re-Elected for Second Term" and "Anderson Cooper Fat Now" - before bringing out the big guns: McKinnon's Hillary Clinton persona, complete with a free copy of her book, What Happened.
