As Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi campaigns in Gujarat, BJP National President Amit Shah reached the long-running constituency of the Gandhi family, Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, which has been the parliamentary constituency of Rahul Gandhi since 2004.

"You have been voting for these greats (Nehru family) but until Modi government came to power at the Centre and Adityanath government in the state, what has been done for the development of Amethi?".

"The remarks that Rahul Gandhi made about our sisters in Rashtriya Sevika Sangh or who have joined the Sangh in some capacity or are sisters, daughters, wives and relatives of Swayamsevaks... the indecent remark that he has made about women". She also added that instead of wasting his time hurting the feelings of the people of Gujarat and making fun od the development, he should rather focus on his constituency Amethi as it needs more development. "The people of Amethi seek an account of three generations from you", Mr. Shah said at a rally in Gauriganj in Amethi.

Urging the public to vote for the BJP in the next elections for the development of Amethi, Shah said that there were two models of development in Amethi - a "Nehru-Gandhi model" and the "Modi model".

At Santrampur Temple campus, Gandhi questioned a small trader among the crowd, "Can your company make Rs 80 crore from Rs 50,000 in three to four months?" "People of Gujarat are well aware of development of their state which happened under the BJP rule".

Yogi said the Congress can never do development work for the country as it had no vision.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh said today that allegations against BJP president Amit Shah's son have no basis and there was no need for any investigation. "The people of Gujarat will give a befitting answer to this slander and keep this "Sultanate of Corruption" as far from them as possible", she added.

In her address, Irani alleged that the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation had not returned land taken from farmers to build "Samrat" cycle manufacturing factory in Amethi. Irani had "embraced" Amethi "like a child" despite losing the election. How many women are there. "God knows what mistakes women have committed that they can not be a part of RSS", Rahul said while interacting with a group of women in Vadodara. "Have you ever seen any woman in shakhas wearing shorts?" he said mocking the traditional dress of the organisation.
