A day after the worst mass shooting in American history, reports state that gunman Stephen Paddock may have had his eyes initially set on a different concert headlined by Chance The Rapper.

According to NBC News, a senior law enforcement source has claimed that Stephen Paddock rented out multiple apartments which overlooked the Life Is Beautiful festival site. The Ogden is a 21-story luxury condominium tower which overlooked the concert grounds leading to the stage with Chance, Wiz Khalifa and other acts on the lineup.

A rep for the owner said, "We're not in a position to confirm or deny anything about Mr. Paddock's dealings". I have to tell you, I had an eerie feeling that night.

The Daily Beast says the source is not directly involved in the investigation, but has been privy to briefings on its progress.

Also in view is the bipod he used to stand one of the rifles as he sprayed the crowd of 22,000 with bullets as they attended the Route 91 Harvest festival.

The same source suggested that Paddock "may have lost his nerve or simply changed his plans and checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel on September 28".

The sheriff was asked at a news conference if it's believed that Paddock was scouting other locations in Las Vegas, and he said only "what's possibly been presented with Life is lovely". A spokeswoman for The Ogden referred questions to Las Vegas police. Officers also discovered an additional 19 firearms and an explosive at his residence in Mesquite, Nevada.

With new information being revealed daily, we continue to keep the victims and the families of those affected in our prayers and thoughts.
