The other day, Katy Perry was minding her own business atop a dangling platform during a show (as ya do), when suddenly she got trapped.

Katy Perry is now taking her recent Witness album on tour, and last night's fans got to witness something memorable indeed during her Nashville show.

Katy told the crowd in a video posted on YouTube: "I'm literally stuck".

"This is the first time I've been stuck in space", Perry joked. "I know I'm kind of a space cadet, but actually, this thing is being stuck right now", said Perry, who was likely distracted by the stage crew talking in her in-ear monitors.

The 32-year-old singer's love for outlandish and elaborate props backfired at her Witness show in Nashville when her Saturn platform got stuck in midair. Should I just sing another song? She crowd surfs, of course. "You better pick your phone up, 'cause this is a YouTube moment!".

The "Swish Swish" singer found herself floating above her audience during Wednesday night's show in Nashville - but it wasn't on goal.

Perry went on to say, "I love this so much, this is what you get for trying to bring out all of space to Nashville", before continuing the concert.

The singer had just finished performing "Thinking of You", at which point she was supposed to descend back to the stage of the Bridgestone Arena.

The first seven shows of Perry's Witness tour were postponed due to production delays.
