First Original Xbox Games for Xbox One Arrive Tomorrow

Xbox One games won't be the only ones to look better when played on Xbox One X. Enhancements will also be available for a select number of Xbox 360 games, Microsoft confirmed today. These first 13 will be available tomorrow, October 24. Moreover, each game has been enhanced to 1080p resolution, with smoother frame-rates and much faster loading times. While the games can be bought from the store, they do not show up on the Xbox One's "Ready to Install" list, which tells us that Microsoft has yet to flip the switch, so to speak. If you own it digitally, that will also work.

When attempting to buy any of the games on Xbox One, none were appearing in the dashboard.

As far as multiplayer goes, games that support local or system link multiplayer will still have those features.

You won't have to worry about these games being smaller titles either as it looks like Microsoft is only bringing their A-game to the new console when picking Xbox 360 games to receive enhancements. We'll be joined by special guest James Ohlen, Lead Designer for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and will have giveaways, gameplay, and will be answering your questions throughout the stream. This allows players on different Xbox consoles to play one another.

If you're hoping to play some online multiplayer then you're going to be disappointed here. "It's definitely a product of his time".

If you plan to revive some of these backward compatible titles, you will only need your original game disc or have it in your digital library for download on Xbox One.
