'Creed 2' To Be Directed By Rocky Himself Sylvester Stallone

While the director and Jordan were overlooked during awards season, Stallone was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, his first Oscar nomination since the original Rocky film, and won the Golden Globe in the same category. Stallone did not announce who would be writing the project, or whether Creed director Ryan Coogler will be involved. Stallone wrote on a photo of him and Jordan. Creed was a commercial and critical success, earning Stallone raves for his more nuanced performance as the aging ex-fighter.

Sylvester Stallone has signed on to produce and direct a follow-up to writer/director Ryan Coogler's Creed movie. It was a spinoff of the original Rockyseries, with an aged Balboa teaching Adonis Creed (the son of his former rival/friend Apollo), played by Jordan. His late father's former best friend as he pursues a career on boxing.

Hollywood veteran Sylvester Stallone is all set to direct and produce the much-awaited sequel of 2015 hit "Creed". He and Jordan have apparently begun training sessions in anticipation of 2018's production. Cor, as if we couldn't love him any more. "If they didn't, I wouldn't be offended".

"Creed 2" doesn't have a release date yet. There has also been rumors as to the inclusion of Dolph Lundgren's Ivan Drago. However, Michael B. Jordan's involvement in Marvel's upcoming Black Panther film pushed development back on the sequel.
