Earlier in the day, the BJP chief visited the Rajarajeswara Temple in Thaliparambha and offered prayers at the ancient shrine.

Sources in the party believe that this yatra will signal the dawn of the BJP's emergence in the state.

"The Yatra would be made by foot as well as vehicles, while public rallies and meetings will be organised all along the route", said minister.

The JanaRakshaYatra, a protest march to expose the atrocities against BJP and RSS workers, was kicked off from Payyannur. What they fail to realise is with each attack, the BJP gains strength.

More than 120 BJP and RSS workers have been murdered in Kerala so far. Of that, 84 persons are from the Kerala CM's district.

"Just as Mahatma Gandhi led a democratic movement against the British Raj in the Freedom Movement, the BJP is launching a democratic movement to oppose the bloody and murderous politics of the CPM in the Kerala". The party underlined that the "M" in CPI (M) stood for "Maoists" and not "Marxists".

While inaugurating the Yatra, Shah launched a scathing attack on Kerala's ruling LDF, saying Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was to blame for the murders of BJP and RSS workers in the state.

As many as 120 BJP workers have been killed in the state since 2001 with 14 of them in the Chief Minister's home town since he took over the reigns previous year, the BJP has alleged. This system is dominating the constitutional system in Kerela and is trying to destroy it.

He added that the Communist party should introspect, as across the world, it is vanishing and also, the Congress is vanishing from the country.

According to the Newspaper, Shah have been postponed due to "unavoidable reasons".He said that Mr. Shah arrived at the Mangaluru International Airport at 1.15 a.m. on Tuesday and proceeded to Kerala to participate in the Janaraksha Yatra at Payyanur.

According to the sources during the 15-day long yatra, at least one Union minister would be present on each day of the march and some BJP chief ministers might also join them.
