Ted Cruz appears to 'like' porn video on Twitter

Cruz, a Republican senator from Texas, is known for his strong religious convictions and family values stance - and once even supported a ban on sex toys.

"It's unclear if Cruz liked the video himself, or if it was the late-night work of an aide that manages his social media presence", reported The Verge on Tuesday morning.

Obviously - unlike Cruz - we all know that there's nothing wrong with enjoying yourself, as long as you're not hurting anyone else.

The source of the video, @SexuallPosts, tweeted: "Thanks for watching Ted!"

There is no right "to stimulate one's genitals" his team argued at the time, which comedian Eric Andre reminded people of. Early Tuesday morning, Cruz's senior communications adviser Catherine Frazier tweeted that the tweet was removed and reported. The two minute video was liked by over 400 accounts, including his.

Cruz declined to comment when asked by CNN about the incident. And the meme shows no sign of slowing down as people wake up to the news that Ted Cruz was flogging the bishop last night. "This was amusing for a lot of reasons, chief among them that Ted Cruz is a self-righteous hard-right eschatologist who thinks his moral purity grants him dominion over other Americans" choices.

Suffice to say, Twitter thoroughly enjoyed the Cruz episode. But if we have one piece of advice for Cruz's staff, it's this: Don't pretend like Cruz got hacked.

This is not the first time Cruz's office has been involved in controversy related to pornography: During his 2016 campaign, one of his advertisements featured an actress who had appeared in pornographic films.
