Logic, Gucci Mane & Khalid Added To Performers Lineup For MTV VMAs

For its part, MTV cited Pink's "trailblazing" career and "stunning videography" in choosing her for its Video Vanguard Award.

Those with cable will be able to tune in to the action from 6:15 p.m. ET on MTV, as the network will kick things off with red carpet coverage. You have to have a cable login for access. Recall previous year, when Beyoncé brought the mothers of four young black men who had been killed by police as her dates to the VMAs red carpet, making a strong statement for the Black Lives Matter movement. The five-time VMA victor and 29-time nominee (including her five nominations this year) will also be bringing her performance skills to the Video Music Awards stage as she'll also be taking to the stage to sing.

P!nk performs live on stage headlining V Festival 2017 at Weston Park on 20 August in Stafford, England. And it certainly sounds like they'll need 'em: Viewers can expect performances from Katy Perry, Kendrick Lamar, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony (joined by Gucci Mane on their hit single "Down"), Thirty Seconds to Mars, Logic, Khalid, Post Malone, Alessia Cara, Kyle, and Julia Michaels. And since those 15 seconds aren't almost enough for Swifties, the entire clip will air in its entirety during the MTV VMAs on Sunday, Swift announced on Twitter. "Brace for impact!" Perry is also nominated in five categories, including Artist of the Year.

The "Firework" singer is hosting the awards, so we know she's going to be there, but Taylor hadn't been confirmed to attend or perform which got fans believing she could be stating quiet and making a surprise appearance that would totally blow everyone's mind.

As per the reports, the network has invited transgender member of the US military to sunday's video music award, It seems like MTV does not care about President Donald Trump's decision to ban transgender people from serving in the military.

Earlier this year, Emma Watson won the first gender-neutral prize at the MTV TV & Movie Awards.
