Redick recently located to the East Coast from Los Angeles, where he spent the past four seasons with the LA Clippers.

Redick actually broke the news himself, announcing his pick by borrowing the team's (and Joel Embiid's) favorite slogan.

Redick had been a critical piece of the Clippers efforts to break through in the Western Conference, and a fine complement next to Chris Paul in the backcourt.

While the Clippers have made the playoffs every year with Redick, they have not advanced past the second round.

The former Duke standout played his first six-plus seasons with the Orlando Magic from 2006-07 to 2012-13 before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. In a seven-game series loss to the Utah Jazz Redick averaged just 9.1 points and shot just 9-of-26 from 3 while being bullied and outplayed by Joe Ingles, who was cut by the Clippers in training camp two years earlier. The Timberwolves and Nets were also pursuing Redick, per the report.

"It's where I wanted to be", Redick told ESPN in a text message.

The Sixers would have to shell out money to get the restricted free agents in order to avoid the Pistons and Wizards, respectively, from matching the contract offers.

Redick, 33, was ranked No. 25 on the list of top available free agents this offseason compiled by ESPN's Kevin Pelton.
