Kanye West makes waves as 'he quits Tidal' in £2.2m row

Kanye West will reportedly sue Tidal in case the streaming service slaps him with legal action for walking away.

"But this "f**k everybody" attitude ain't natural/But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe (sic)/But you got hurt because you think KumbaYe/You gave him 20 million without thinking/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f**k was he thinking?"

Sources claim that West's lawyers have sent a letter to Tidal over a month ago, saying their contract was breached and that it has been terminated. Tidal, Jay-Z's subscription based music streaming service, apparently owes Kanye $3 million dollars.

According to a new TMZ report, the rapper has officially split from the streaming company owned by Jay-Z, having been unhappy with his positioning for months. "This Tidal Apple beef is fucking up the music game", he wrote.

It seems Kanye and 2 Chainz spent a lot of time together over the weekend. But it's no ordinary rapper vs. rapper feud, as Jay-Z also happens to be the owner of Tidal.

Additionally, TMZ's report notes that Kanye hasn't been reimbursed for the release of music videos despite TIDAL claiming Kanye didn't hold up his end of the bargain and deliver the agreed number of videos.

Although the album was an exclusive stream on Tidal, it wasn't available for purchase or download, which generated a mammoth increase in piracy. Originally, the album was streaming exclusively on Tidal forcing Kanye fans to get Tidal in order to hear his latest work.

Tidal is understood to have had an exclusive agreement with West and could sue if he joins another service.

Neither West, who has closed his Twitter and Instagram accounts, nor Tidal have commented publicly.

"I want to shoot a shout out to Jay Z, just dropped another motherfuckin' hot album", he said while reviewing the album in the video above.
