He teased McGregor, claiming he "only made $3m in his last fight" and referenced the Irishman's submission defeat by Nate Diaz in 2016, his only loss since joining UFC three years earlier.

The pair met face-to-face for the first time since the match's confirmation on the first press conference of their four-leg promotional tour.

McGregor replied, 'I'll have the money after the fight.so sue me, ' before laughing and continuing: 'We're having a fight mate, don't get your lawyers after me. Yours truly (Marcin Migdal) will join Bradie at the conference. Unfortunately, a lot of what McGregor said during this portion of the presser wasn't heard because his microphone cut out.

While it appeared the two would square off right then and there, Mayweather promised to save his hands for next month with promises that we would "knock that b*tch out." while McGregor said he's going to finish the undefeated pro boxer in four rounds.

"But it's actually July to July so I was 24 this year, which is a great jump from 84 the year before", he stated before hesitantly adding, "I mean I said I'd fight".

"I am fighting, and he is boxing", McGregor said. 11,000 eager fans at the Staples Center in LA were treated to an expletive-heavy back and forth between the fighters, as McGregor mocked his opponent's attire, "He's in a f***ing tracksuit, he can't even afford a suit anymore". "[Mayweather] says he's taking this fight for the fans but I disagree".

"I ain't back down from no [expletive] body".

Tax trouble for Mayweather: The IRS says Mayweather still owes $22.2 million in taxes from 2015, the year he earned his biggest payday with a blockbuster fight against Manny Pacquiao.

Shortly after Mayweather called it quits, a feud between himself and Conor McGregor, the new face of combat sports, was born. The problem is McGregor might have taken it a step too far by saying, "Dance for me, boy!" when Mayweather was shadowboxing onstage. Mayweather is seemingly guaranteed to make at least $100 million, and he likely has a chance to bank more than $200 million, depending upon the pay-per-view buys.

Although he was later to the venue, McGregor did arrive on stage before Mayweather however - and UFC president Dana White had an impassioned introduction waiting for him.
