Ex-NBA player Sebastian Telfair arrested on gun charges

Telfair and one other individual, 18-year-old Jami Thomas, were pulled over by police and face charges related to illegal possession of guns, ammunition, and marijuana.

Bassy had three loaded guns, a semi-automatic rifel, ammo, a bullet-proof vest and weed in the vehicle he was riding in. Two bags of marijuana and a burning marijuana cigarette were also allegedly found in the 2017 Ford F-150 pickup with Florida plates.

The vehicle tried to drive off without headlights, and cops pulled it over.

Upon searching the truck, it's claimed officers discovered two bags of pot and the pair's gun collection - which included a SIG MPX Pistol, a Ruger LC9s, and a Springfield Armory XD9 Mod 2 Pistol.

The weapon is described by Personal Defense World magazine as an "AR-style pistol in 9mm".

Telfair is facing charges of gun possession and possession of a controlled substance.

Telfair was the 13th draft pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, being selected by the Portland Trail Blazers. His last game in the National Basketball Association was November 26, 2014, for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he played in China after being released by the Thunder.

Sunday's incident isn't the first time the standout point guard has gotten in trouble with the law. He was arrested in 2007 after police found a loaded handgun in his auto during a speeding stop.

Officers took a photo of the weapons.it looks like Telfair and his guy were ramping up for something major with this kind of fire power.

Inside the vehicle, officers found three handguns, a semi-automatic rifle, a bulletproof vest and ammo, according to police.
