Xiaomi Redmi 4 Review

Xiaomi is all set to launch Xiaomi Redmi 4 in India today in an event in New Delhi. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in three variants basis its storage capacity and the cheapest and basic variant cots only R 6,999 and it goes up to Rs 10,999. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, along with Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB/3GB/4Gb of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi has recently launched an updated variant of Redmi 4X with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage in China.

For photography, this phone is mounted with 13 MP rear camera with Dual LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5-lens system, PDAF. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP, f/2.0 aperture front facing camera. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the device, along with the company's MIUI 8 OS which comes installed on top of Google's OS.

Mi Router 3C will be available at the Mi Home store on May 20 and on Mi.com from May 23 onwards.

Redmi 4 - the successor to Redmi 3S - will be priced Rs 6,999 onwards. Cheap Redmi smartphones have done quite well in the past and with the launch of a new "Redmi" phone, the numbers are only expected to rise for the company.

Talking about its pricing, we can expect the Redmi 4 to be launched in India with the price range of Rs 7,500 to Rs 8,500.

As for specs, the Redmi Note 4 packs a mid-range but power-sipping Snapdragon 625 or a MediaTek Helio X20 chip, as well as a 4100mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System. Mi Router 3C has 64 MB of RAM and offers a wireless speed of 300mbps.

Additionally, the phone also has sensors like Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

In terms of connectivity, Redmi 4 will come with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, Infrared port, FM Radio, microUSB 2.0, and 3.5-mm headphone jack as connectivity options. We sold more than 4 million units of Redmi 3S during the life cycle of the product.
