The chorus goes, "Here I am/next to you/the sky is more blue in Malibu".

Miley Cyrus, whose young career has already undergone marked transformations, yesterday released a lo-fi rock ballad in a departure from her previous sound. That 2010 track was released around the same time as Miley and Liam's movie The Last Song when the couple were peak relationship goals.

"And I'm happy that you did/'Cause now I'm as free as birds catching the wind".

Miley's sister Brandi Cyrus agreed that she "would have had some fabulous wedding dress, not just like [the] frilly top she was wearing in a photo".

Under the sunshine, in the depths of the sand and flower fields, and by the sea, the actress spins around in her dress and lets her hair out, giving you the feeling of letting loose and giving no care.

The 32-year-old singer took to Twitter on Thursday to praise Cyrus for her latest single, "Malibu".

Her newest single is on a whole other level that her fans are sure to be proud of and love. Regarding her new image, she explained that it's part of her plan to get her message across to as many people as possible. "So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, "This is how I feel"?" In the meantime, look out for Cyrus singing "Malibu" at the Billboard Music Awards on May 21 (broadcast live from Las Vegas on ABC at 8 p.m.).
