The features will include backup and restore chats, adds incognito mode to group chats and introduction of link previews to Google Allo. Thanks to a recent update, the smart messaging application developed by Google and available on iOS and Android now has exciting new features. App was also updated with direct reply from notifications and split-screen support plus more fun stickers, emojis, and chat background.

Google Allo got off to a great start topping the download charts in the Google Play Store as the social messaging app on Android aimed at replacing Hangouts. According to Allo head Amit Fulay, these features are rolling out via a server-side switch beginning today. As for the chat backup/restore, it simply allows you to save conversations, backup, and even restore previous ones you may have missed or removed. Let us explain: Google recently reconfigured Hangouts to be an enterprise chat offering, and Fulay tweeted right after the announcement that Allo and Duo will be Google's one-two punch for consumers. If so, what do you think of it? Users are able to see what the link is for before clicking through.

The update has already rolled out on the Play Store with some more performance improvements and bug fixes.
