Facebook Inc.is hoping new tweaks to Messenger's Inbox design will help the app's more than 1.2 billion active users navigate the platform's growing number of features. I love Instagram stories and will never enjoy Facebook Messenger stories. As reported by TechCrunch, the constant hammering of notifications from other apps reminding you of that there is something awaiting you over there could also boost the engagement across this family of apps.

Facebook is essentially bundling all three app notifications in one place through Facebook app and thus from one single tap users will able to access any of the app directly.

Also, the Messenger app now shows a red dot that appears when one of the sections in the app has new activity.

Tapping on the notifications tab, a new menu will pop up, allowing you to check your Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook notifications.

Facebook has launched a latest feature to make their users life easy.

Facebook Messenger's home screen has been reorganised, with a top bar showing new tabs for Messages, who is Active, and favourite Groups, as well as a bottom bar for Home, Calls, the Camera button, People and Games.

Instead of the Messenger logo appearing in the top right corner, there's a profile pic and the number of notifications across all your accounts. From there, users can simply tap on one of the other apps to launch it and check the notifications.

Facebook has often emphasised on keeping all of its apps separate with Messenger, Instagram and Facebook itself having their own independent structure.

The new merged notifications for Facebook's three core apps will make it easier for people to switch between their accounts. Some users really don't want to check notifications from other apps on-the-go. The new visual look will start rolling out worldwide on Android and iOS from this week. Now they will be for Home, Calls, Camera, People and Games (which replaces Groups).
